Join the SETAC UK Branch and SETAC Italian Language Branch Student Event in Rome
Michelle Bloor, SETAC UK Branch President
We are calling attention to all students studying in the United Kingdom and Italy who are attending the SETAC Europe 28th Annual Meeting from 13–17 May in Rome, Italy.
Multidisciplinary collaborations are the cornerstone of all advances in today’s scientific landscape, so networking opportunities are invaluable. During the SETAC Europe 28th Annual Meeting in Rome, the United Kingdom (UK) and Italian regional branches have joined together to create a student event, and we’d love for you to come and join us.
The event is held from 4:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 15 May, in Room 10. A free “aperitivo” will be served.
The activities will include a speed networking session, a lecture on professional development opportunities, which will be followed by the competitive mock research proposal writing activity. The winning proposal will receive a free student registration for the SETAC Europe 29th Annual Meeting, which will be held from 26–30 May 2019 in Helsinki, Finland. These activities will be under the direction of the UK and Italian branch representatives and invited professionals from academia, business and government.
If you are a student studying in the UK or Italy, this event is for you. Meet and interact with members of the UK and Italian branch councils, and learn how you can become a student council member. The UK Student Council was formed to increase opportunities for networking, developing scientific programming events for students and other career-enhancing activities. You can sign up to become a student council member on 15 May. Visit our Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts for further information, or email us at setacukbranch@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing you in Rome!
