The call for session proposals for the SETAC Africa 8th Biennial Conference, which is scheduled from 17–19 October 2017 at the Tinapa Lake Resort in Calabar, Nigeria, will be open until 5 February. Calabar has a rich history and outstanding culture in a clean, splendid geographical location. The peaceful nature and friendly topography of Calabar makes it a famous, world-class tourist attraction, which will create unique opportunities to connect SETAC members in Africa and in the diaspora.

The theme for the SETAC Africa 2017 conference is “Quality of African Environment: The Roles of Science, Industry and Regulators,” with the goal to provide a forum for novel discoveries and approaches related to environmental research for and by Africans. The conference will include participants from academia, business and government agencies. We have issued a call to submit proposals for sessions along nine parallel tracks. We look forward to receiving your creative and timely session proposals, which will contribute to building an undoubtedly inspiring scientific program for SETAC Africa.
