Share Your Story, Your Research, Your News

Bill Goodfellow and Tim Canfield, SETAC Globe Co-Editors-in-Chief

We invite you to submit articles to your SETAC Globe. The Globe offers you a monthly forum for your news outreach that is valued by over 5,000 members, as well as approximately 6,000 friends of SETAC.

We are seeking articles that represent our readership’s geographic diversity and range of scientific expertise. Examples of desired content we are searching for includes:

  • News from our five geographic units (GU) and SETAC World Council (SWC) including annual meetings and other relevant information
  • Articles on long-range planning within the GUs and SWC, as well as important governance information
  • Announcements of SETAC annual meetings, focused topic meetings, symposia and other meetings including key dates and deadlines
  • Session summaries from all annual meetings
  • Regional Branch and Chapter news
  • Committee and Interest Group news
  • Student and early career professional news
  • Announcements of SETAC Awards
  • News from other non-SETAC meetings and events that would be of general interest to a large portion of our membership
  • Global Partner or Affiliate and Sustaining Member or Affiliate Corner news that highlights the important scientific contribution of our partners
  • Senior Resource Spotlight, highlighting our career achievements of long-term SETAC members and their contributions to SETAC
  • Letters to the Editor regarding scientific- or society-related topics of interest to SETAC members
  • In memoriam articles of SETAC members

If you have an idea for an article, please let us know. Float an idea for an article, even if it is in the early stages of thought development, and we will work with you. We are very open to articles that we believe would be of interest to our members. However, the Globe does not publish announcement of job changes and promotions or announcement of grants and contracts received by universities and companies represented by SETAC members. Please consult our policies and publication schedule for additional information.
