5th International Conference on Emerging Contaminants and Micropollutants in the Environment
Kathryn Linge, Curtin University, Sydney, Australia
It’s now less than 150 days until the start of the 5th International Conference on Emerging Contaminants (EmCon2016) and Micropollutants (WiOW2016) in the Environment, which takes place from 20–23 September 2016 in Sydney, Australia. The meeting organizers are looking forward to welcoming you Down Under. Located on Australia's east coast, Sydney surrounds one of the world's largest natural harbors and offers a whole range of great tourist attractions.
The conference will feature more than 150 presentations from 28 countries to discuss the latest research on emerging contaminants and their many degradation products. With a single platform presentation track, the conference will allow many opportunities for close interactions and networking with all delegates. Special themes include emerging contaminants in megacities, mining exploration and fracking, microplastics and nanomaterials. The platform program has now been confirmed, but the organizers are still accepting abstracts for poster presentations for late-breaking research.
Our confirmed keynote speakers include Judy Blackbeard, Melbourne Water; Sherri Mason, State University of New York at Fredonia; and Kevin Thomas, Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). Register before 15 July 2016 to take advantage of early bird registration rates.
