SETAC Global and North America Awards Program

Diane Nacci and Emma Lavoie, USEPA

Nominations for annual global and North America SETAC awards are due 30 April 2015.

Nominations are being sought for both global and North America 2015 awards. SETAC is a grass-roots organization where many of our members provide important and relevant contributions to advancing the science of chemistry and environmental toxicology. It is important that we recognize their time and commitment to our science and our SETAC community. We all know someone who has made a significant contribution, and we would like to challenge each of you to make at least one nomination for an award. The award committees have tried to make it as easy as possible to gather award nominations.

More details on each award can be found on the SETAC website. This year’s awards include:

Global Awards

SETAC North America Awards and Fellowships (nominees from US, Canada and Mexico only)

While full nomination packages and materials are due by 30 April, the most important task right now is to identify quality nominees. Please take this opportunity to make initial nominations of your deserving friends, colleagues or yourself for one of the awards.

Please send a nominee's name, affiliation and relevant award to by 2 March. Awards Committee representatives can then help identify and coordinate nomination packages, which are due by 30 April. Even if you don't submit a notice by 2 March, you can still submit a complete nomination package by 30 April.

Students can find award opportunities, including travel awards, research fellowships and presentation awards, via the SETAC website and future communications.
