The SETAC North America Endowment Fund Board of Trustees meeting in Vancouver is scheduled from 3–4 p.m. on Tuesday, 11 November, in room 101/102, and the board is extending an invitation to you to help celebrate the success of the fund in supporting our society at the meeting. The invested principal of the fund now stands at more than $160,000, and proceeds from contributions and investments have supported and will continue to support members and programs consistent with our mission. Congratulations are in order for all of your contributions and support!
In Vancouver, we will maintain a dedicated fundraising presence in the SETAC Store area in the Exhibit Hall. The Endowment Fund desk will be manned during coffee breaks and social events to accept donations and answer any questions that you may have regarding the fund. The SETAC Store staff will also be able to accept donations at other times. Donations of $100 or more will be awarded a SETAC baseball cap, while contributors of $50 or more will be provided a fund lapel pin. Finally, those pledging to make annual donations of any size as a “Pay it Forward” commitment will receive a sticker to acknowledge such important and continuing contributions. You can follow our progress in meeting our 2014 donation goal on the Endowment Fund page.
On the Endowment Fund page you can also learn more about the fund's objectives, guidelines and accomplishments. We especially would like to point out the testimonials of endowment fund recipients and what they have to say about the support they have received thanks to your contributions to the fund.
Finally, we’d like to specifically recognize dozens of individuals and organizations that have provided Legacy Society program donations of $1,000 and more, matching gifts, challenge grants and planned gifts (bequests) to the Endowment Fund. These extraordinary commitments provide an important foundation to support investment objectives for the specific purposes of growing the fund. We’ll be pleased to provide information on these programs while in Vancouver or by telephone at your convenience, Greg Schiefer at +1 850 469 1500 ext. 105 or Gene Mancini at +1 805 987 7152.
