Upcoming 20th Life Cycle Assessment Case Study Symposium

Igor Budak, University of Novi Sad

The SETAC Europe 20th Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Case Study Symposium, a key international scientific event for LCA, provides the opportunity for researchers, business experts and policy makers from all over the world to gather in a unique environment to exchange scientific ideas and experiences and to discuss new developments.

The symposium will take place from 24–26 November 2014 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Novi Sad is the administrative, economic, cultural, educational and tourist center of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. It is the second largest city in Serbia, founded in 1694, and located in the southern part of the Pannonian Plain on the banks of the Danube river, facing the northern slopes of the Fruška Gora mountain.

The symposium’s main theme is “LCA in Promoting Eco-innovation and Sustainability: Education, Research and Application.” Its main purpose is to develop an intensive discussion on how LCA can contribute to innovation and enhance the (re)design of new and existing products and services by respecting eco-design principles. This will contribute to sustainable development through improved environmental performances. The discussion will comprise educational, research and industrial aspects.

Abstract submission is now open, and you can submit your abstract online by 15 September via the symposium's website.

On behalf of the organising and scientific committees, we are looking forward to meeting you at the SETAC Europe 20th LCA Case Study Symposium in Novi Sad. Welcome to Serbia!
